Gia Bug at 6months!

Seriously, yea, seriously 6 months already! How do these milestones come so quickly? My sweet little bitty is only 6 months away from being a 1 year old. As much as I want to keep you little and under my wing forever, I do so enjoy watching you grow and learn. And, well, you're so darn cuddly right now. I could just nibble on those little legs for days!

You haven't had your 6 month checkup yet, so no technical stats, but I'm ready to tell all about your sweet little self.

* You continue to drink 6 oz. every 3 hours, sometimes sooner. Lately, you've been drinking 1/2 your bottle, then finishing it around 30 minutes later. You're such a curious little george that you can't sit still or have your view blocked long enough to finish the whole thing (unless you are super super hungry).

* You have oatmeal once a day, in the mornings. And then you usually have 1 container of baby food. Your fave so far seems to be carrots and sweet potatoes. Yep, I'm expecting you to have an orange nose sooner rather than later. You've also had banana's, pear, applesauce, green beans, and sweet peas.

* Anytime you are placed on your back, you usually roll over to your tummy and are content to play for a bit. You roll from back to belly often, but when placed on your tummy to begin with you don't always roll over.

* Your bedtime is around 10pm and you usually sleep till 8:30-9:00 am. Woohoo! I still swaddle you every night and give you the paci. If those arms of yours are free, you can guarantee that you'll be pulling that paci out, even if you want it. That's just something you do ;).

* You are beginning to make more sounds, you usually wake us all up by making this sweet little blowing noise. I must admit, it's the most awesome alarm I have ever had!

* You sit up like a big girl now! You're so funny, because you absolutely can NOT STAND for your head to be laying flat, not against the couch, not a pillow, not your bed...if you are awake, you want to be up and looking around!

* You continue to love your brother, you watch him closely, smile at him often, and are quick to laugh out loud at him. (lately, he wants to hold his "baby sister". he adores you too!)

* You wear a size 3-6 months in clothes, size 2 diaper.

* You love those baths and have quickly figured out how to splash!

* You have a touch of eczema on your face, mainly around your mouth :( Mommy coats you with lotion every night and you wake up looking good as new!

* You still watch me everywhere I go. It's so funny how sometimes, I'll catch you just staring away at me. I loves it!

* You're very serious natured. Sometimes you will look at people and won't crack a smile or bat an eye. BUT if you are familiar with the person, you smile, and just draw them in immediately.

* With that said, you do smile a lot-At those you are around often. And it's a beautiful smile! Warms my heart!

* Something about papaw really intrigues you...you really check him out when he comes in the room. And you're always quick to smile at nana.

* You've got this little growl thing you do lately. Kinda reminds me of the noise Teen Wolf makes, hah! So cute! You also have this cold chill thing you do, where you shiver. You'll do this a few times a day, it's so funny!

* Mommy calls you my little flower. Why? Because you smell so sweet, you're beautiful and delicate, you make my days brighter, and you make me feel all warm and happy inside!

The last few days, your brother and I have been down with the stomach virus...I mean down! So, mommy and daddy sent you up to Nana in hopes that you don't catch it. And let me tell ya, it seemed so weird and WRONG not to have you with us. I did not like it at all! You have your place in this family very much little girl, you really complete our little family!

We love you so much and thank God for our sweet girl daily! I can't wait until it warms up so I can take you outside and snap your picture!!! But until then I snapped a few quickly between stomach virus issues in the bathroom!!!

Snug as a BUG!

My two treasures before bedtime. Makes me heart all warm and tingly to see how sweet they are together and how much they adore one another! They are close in age and it has had it's challenging moments...but it is more than worth it---pictures here speak volumes!

All Over the Place! And Love Day 2012

We all have our moments of random "catch up" blogs and this one be ANOTHER one of mine!

Gavin David, you will be 3 years old in just a few weeks, wow, wow, and WOW! I have an almost 3 year old, doesn't even seem possible! Right now you're singing "Old MacDonald" at the top of your lungs, hah! I don't think you've stopped talking since you woke up from your nap, oh, 4.5 hours ago. No joke. My son, you are a talker. And you are a tester too...you test the limits of your dad and I daily, purposely, and look at us while you do it. You love to wake your sister up from sleep, luckily she loves you and wakes up with a smile. You dump out your toys as soon as I get them put away...yea, you should be putting them away yourself, but I tend to do it myself because it seems easier. Bad, I know. I won't post too much on you though, we'll save everything for your 3 year post. I don't want you to grow up on me, but it's so awesome to be able to have a conversation with my very own child!

Gia bug, you are 5 1/2 months old and the last two days you have rolled from your back to your belly OFTEN. You actually like to be on your tummy when it's you that has put yourself there :). Go figure, already miss independent. Nah, not really, you love me so much. I know it sounds like I'm bragging, but it's so true! You just watch me everywhere I go, everything I do, and well, I LOVE IT! And more and more everyday, you are beginning to look just like I did as a baby. I came across a picture today and seriously, if I posted it, people would believe that it is you. Crazy!

I'm such a bad mommy, I didn't get any pictures of Valentines Day :(. But I have to share what your sweet precious daddy did. I woke up Valentines Day morning and went through my usual routine that your dad knows so well. I entered the bathroom...there I found 2 V-Day cards (the ones that you buy for your kids to pass out) on the sink. From there, I came to the coffee pot...another V-Day card. From there to the computer...another VDay card. All for me, with special little notes on the back like "#1 mommy" "Best Friends Forever" "I Love You". He gave me 4. From there I went to Giana's bedroom. On the changing pad, a VDay card, in the diaper holder...A VDay card...in her crib, A VDAY card, then to her swing, A VDAY card. All for Giana. Each one was personalized for her, "#1 Daughter" "I Love You" etc. From there, on to Gavin. A card on his Mack Truck, a card on his basket of toys, a card on his train, and a car on his high chair. All personalized for him. "#1 Son" "Daddy's Boo Boo Chicken" (he calls him that) "I Love You". And on top of those sweet cards placed perfectly around the house, he had some candy for us. How sweet is that? He put some thought in to that, spent barely any money, but was worth more than a dozen roses, diamonds, etc. I thought it was perfect. From my perfect husband.

I also need to add that my precious daddy who adores you both, brought home gifts for you! Gavin, papaw got you a Finn McMissile car that lights up and a heart shaped container full of m&m's. And Gia bug, papaw bought you a "Violet" Leap Frog puppy that says your name, sings songs, and is personalized just to you (Gavin has "Scout" the boy version of the Leap Frog Puppy). How sweet is that? It was completely his idea and you both loved your Valentine's presents!

Other than that, not too much going on here. Mommy is looking for jobs daily and applying for jobs often. No takers yet. I don't know if I should be happy or sad! The sooner I go to work, the sooner we get a home or start building. But the sooner I get a job, the sooner I have to leave my babies. I guess it's a love/hate relationship right now.

And for some pictures, just snap shots that I've taken lately.

Heart smiles

Something I wanted to take note of and wanted to document for you sweet babies to look back on and get the same heart smiles I'm feeling right now.

Your precious, gift from God, daddy worked a double today. He was up at 4am, worked til 10pm, and didn't get home until 10:30pm. On top of that, he's very sick with a bad cold (hence the face mask). But because of the awesome dad that he is, he put on the mask, picked up Giana, told Gavin to get a book, sat down in the recliner with both our precious's and read a bedtime story at 11pm.

And because we love daddy so much and look forward to him getting home every night, we wait up for him....always.

Num-Num's

My little girl enjoys herself some food! So far, oatmeal, carrots, and sweet potatoes are her fave!

Just want to blog a few pics of her enjoying her yummy's. Here she is, 5 months old, puttin' that food away! And having a little fun blowing it everywhere too :)!

Love you baby girl! Hope you like food more than your brother, hah!
